Learning from the mistakes of others is one of the most underappreciated secrets of Indie Filmmaking. If you don't, valuable time, energy, money, favors, and friendships could be wasted. Shaun will talk about the 10 Rules he has followed as an indie filmmaker that has helped him beat the odds and wrap several feature projects.

About Shaun Donelson: A San Diego Independent Filmmaker for six years, who has had the unique experience of having made every mistake possible while finishing his first feature (which he terms a startup project), is in the process of editing a second feature and is in pre-production for a trilogy that he estimates will take three years to complete. Shaun has worked with every aspect of filmmaking in San Diego from planning, permitting, funding, recruiting talent, filming, and editing to arranging shoots at City, County and State properties. He will also discuss how to film at an airport with weapons and live to tell about it.

Don't forget to bring your business cards and head shots! Please be sure to tell everyone you know in the San Diego filmmaking community about this exciting event. If you aren't connected with us on MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter, now's a good time to do so and spead the word about this meeting!
